Time Management Guru
Because you aren't getting any younger.
Hello, this is Gordon Philips, a guy who gets more done by 10:00 AM than most people do all day.
How busy am I?
I currently run several successful businesses out of a home office (one local, two online)... manage an entire household with three teenage children... consult with private wealth clients... trade Forex... answer dozens of emails... exercise for 30 minutes... write a weekly newsletter... meditate for 15 minutes... prepare meals consisting of a mostly plant-based diet (nothing canned or packaged)... read for 90 minutes... spend 16 minutes on my BEMER... practice the drums, guitar, keyboard and bass for 30 minutes each... take a 20 minute nap... and accomplish a few other minor things... each day.
How is this possible?
The bane of existence for so many.
The average person (and of course you are not average, Dear Reader), wastes vast quantities of their remaining time here on Earth.
You'd think they planned to live forever!
Waste Not, Want Not
Waste just 90 seconds each hour due to disorganization and you waste one full hour in each 40-hour working week.
That comes to 3,000 minutes wasted over a 50 week working year... a whopping total of 40 hours wasted each year... one entire WEEK wasted!
What could you do with an entire FREE week each year?
Then there is all the time you waste from not being able to find your "stuff" when you need it.
Everything In Its Place
Here is where a little advance planning and organization makes a huge difference.
Mom always said, "A place for everything, and everything in its place."
When there is a place for everything, and things that are used are returned to that place, that is where you can expect to find them the next time you need them!
What could be simpler?
Imagine your life running as smoothly as a Swiss watch.
Did Someone Say Running Late?
Most of the world runs late. Trains, planes, lectures, on and on the list goes. Why?
When someone says to you, "I'll be there in 10 or 15 minutes," what can you expect? That they'll be there in 10 minutes, or in 15 minutes?
Right, in 15 minutes. They're already psychologically letting themselves off the hook, allowing themselves to run a little late, even planning on it, while setting your expectations as well. This is how most of the world operates.
I expect this when I visit the dentist or book air travel, and account for the slippage I expect by filling in what would otherwise be wasted time with something constructive I can get done in the meantime, like write an article, spot a good Forex trader, answer some email, etc.
Each of us no doubt does similarly in our own lives. But when it comes to delays that we create for ourselves, or for our own small business as a result of poor planning or disorganization, not only are we doing ourselves (and others) a disservice, we are the only party to blame!
Life In The Smooth Lane
Does your daily journey through life feel full of planning potholes and organizational obstacles?
Feeling organized is a wonderful thing. To be on top of your day, to feel productive and contributing to others is, for me, what it's all about.
So let me leave you with this thought, and a little math. Let's plan on wasting 30 minutes each day due to various degrees of disorganization.
Over the course of one year we will waste 182.5 hours. At 4 hours per book we could have read 45 more books! At 4 hours per relaxing dinner with our significant other, we could have enjoyed 45 additional dinners!
Over the course of your adult life you could read 1,800 more books and enjoy 1,800 more relaxing dinners. All in the same amount of time!
Or.... you could keep wasting time and wonder where it all went at the end of day, a year or a decade.
The choice is yours... and the clock is ticking!
Need An Organization Accountability Coach?
Hire Gordon to help!
Tell me what you want to get done... why it's important to you... why you've been unable to stay on track thus far... when when you want to get it all done by... and I will personally encourage, motivate and otherwise (with your permission, of course) pester you into seeing that you get it all accomplished!
Here Is How This Works
You pay me for one hour of my consulting time ($320 USD) and fill out a questionnaire for me to review, identifying the tasks or projects that you want to get accomplished over the next month.
I establish weekly benchmarks, set alarms and reminders and check in with you once each week for 15 minutes over the period of a month to see that you get it all done.
During the course of this month I share with you several short videos on time and file management, organization and more.
At the end of the month you will have overcome procrastination, accomplished your projects and learned a great deal about personal organization and time management.
As for all the extra time I free up for you to enjoy over the rest of your life, those minutes are "on the house."
If you want to keep working with me beyond the first month, perhaps to get your retirement organized, or get your health optimized so you don't keel over before reaching your 'Good Until' date, we'll already be off to a terrific start together.
Speaking of which...
